REACH4LIFE IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA
Making an impact in three countries

South Africa
This is where Biblica launched Reach4Life in 2004, and with the longest history, it has the highest number of participants in the program. Work is taking place in seven of the country's nine provinces - Gauteng (Johannesburg area), KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Free State. The Reach4Life program is taught in the larger cities such as Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town, and also in rural villages. The program director, Thandeka Mavundla-Nzama, is based in Johannesburg.

Swaziland
Reach4Life was introduced in Swaziland in 2016. The Swazi team traveled to South Africa for training (requiring eight taxis) and once home, they trained others to take Reach4Life into the villages. The Department of Health has given approval for the program to be taught in clinics. Doors are wide open there and we are excited about what has been accomplished in just two years, with over 34,000 participants in the program there.

Mozambique
The Swazi team introduced Reach4Life across the nearby border into Mozambique, and young adults have now been trained to teach Reach4Life there. Portuguese is the main language, and Biblica has said they are in the process of making a Portuguese translation of the Reach4Life Bible, which they hope will be done in the next year or two. In the meantime, the Mozambican team is carrying out the program using the English version that is currently available.
